A little bit about me...
First off, welcome and thank you so much for being here!
My name is Annelie. I was born in Germany and moved to Canada when I was only five years old. Growing up, I played competitive hockey for 10 years and have always been physically active. In 2019 I graduated with a bachelors degree in Communication studies from McMaster University. Yoga came into my life during my first year of university, as I was struggling trying find balance in all things. I began my yoga practice at home watching YouTube tutorials, and developed a very strong personal practice. It's safe to say I immediately fell in love with the physical asana practice, coming to my mat nearly every day. As my practice evolved, so did my state of mind. To me, yoga is my safe space. It is a time where I can be completely present in the moment, and honour my body and my mind exactly how shows up for me that day.
Wanting to deepen my own understanding of the practice, I completed my 200h Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 on the beautiful big island of Hawaii. After graduating from my teacher training, I immediately began teaching public classes, and have since taught a variety of workshops locally and internationally.
Teaching yoga is my passion, and I am so grateful to be able to share my story with so many people around the world.
